You can create a press kit to hand out
to editors and other interested parties who attend your event or
express information about your activity. A press kit is literally
a folder that contains all the essential information about your organization
or event. Here's a menu of items that you may want to include:
- Recent press release about your event and any previous press
releases that are relevant.
- Background information on your organization and its mission,
and biographies for key people.
- A factsheet that contains useful information about your event,
the school or education. This document should present information
in a bullet format.
- Letters of endorsement from VIPs and state and community leaders.
- Copies of any recent speeches given on your behalf.
- A directory of key people in your organization and at the schools.
You may wish to include national NetDay organizers and endorsers.
