K-12 Education
NetDay directly supports
the integration of technology in classrooms and schools as well
as provides national leadership in helping K-12 educational organizations
meet the challenges of the No Child Left Behind Act to use technology
for effective learning.
Teacher Training
Teachers are burdened
with many demands, and incorporating technology often falls by
the wayside. NetDay programs directly support teachers in their
classrooms with research-proven methods of professional development
and
technology mentoring.
Digital Divide and Economic Opportunity
Most children in rural
and inner-city communities do not have home access to technology.
They depend on school and public environments to develop the
same skills as their more affluent peers.
Workforce Development
NetDay helps community
members gain work experience, develop job skills, and plan
a career path through NetDay AmeriCorps service. Members work
directly with children to prepare a future workforce with 21st
century literacy skills.
